I don’t like to dream Too many memories Hit the night like lightning Shadows and regrets, can’t fight them I can’t take the silence Self-inflicted violence But that’s the way it goes and nobody knows Hey now, what you say now? Don’t leave me alone until the morning Hey now, what you say now? Don’t leave me here to wither on the vine Wither on the vine You are heaven calling I am a fire warming Your eyes are a thousand skies A thousand reasons why Take a seat and take my hand Closest I’ll ever be to a promised land Come on, girl, won’t you stay awhile? It ain’t nothing, unless it’s something It ain’t nothing, unless it’s something It ain’t nothing, unless it’s something Beautiful 3 AM is calling Shooting stars keep falling Kicking air and throwing punches Nightmares come in bunches White walls, dark feelings Demons dropping down from the ceiling I can’t take it I’m not going to make it

Hey, when you look at me what do you think you see? Because I’m a man on fire. Oh, and when I look at you I get a better view of a silly little liar. You’re looking right as rain, you’ve got your Novocaine – You can’t feel a thing. You’re a superstar in your brand new car and your big ol’ diamond ring. I’ve got a taste for blood. This world is not enough. And when you’re coming down, don’t bother coming ‘round. You’re not needed here. And when you think you know, it just goes to show you’re best friend is your fear. But you’re the posted child and you’ve been running wild, building up those walls. With your big ideas, nothing between your ears, and your garbage pile will fall. This is where you turn and you run away.

Bring me back again, bring me back from the other side. Show me smiles again, bring me the air of a new sunrise. I’m just standing on the side of the road. I’m just waiting for the last parade. My eyes are open, everything is grey. And it breaks me down, every time I hear your name. Breaks me down, every time I feel your pain. I can see you in the shadows. Yesterday’s frozen, pictures hang in a gallery. Scripted poses, empty eyes staring back at me. She says nothing in this world is free. She says beauty must pay a price. I’m still standing. I’m just soaked in all the lies. Give me something, give me back my memory. Give me everything. Give me. Take this weight and let me breathe, take this hand that’s been forsaken. I’m so tired. I have been mistaken.

Soul Strong 03:28
Half-way done with the fading out Is this all that it’s all about? I haven’t seen the sun in days Rolling bones at the finish lines These ghosts are some friends of mine I don’t get out much, anyway When the end comes We will be soul strong Once the fighting has begun We will say Bring it on She never looks at me Slipping back into the scenery I don’t remember how to love Throwing stones and kicking tires Avoiding answers and lighting fires It’s always coming down from above I’m not gonna fade away today.

In You 03:29
Little children, big back yard. What once was easy, now is so hard. Out the window, nothing but the rain. You were calling out, nobody came. Everything put on you. There was nothing you could do. There’s too much me in you. Cry yourself to sleep, blame yourself. All those demos put there by someone else. All the anger, all of the pain. Seed was planted, still remains today. I have let you down.

She looks better in the dark where no one can see see the space that used to hold a heart. She looks better in bed disguises the inside where everything is dead. She walks hand in hand with Jane and it’s just about to rain on and on, on Esplanade Avenue. She wants everything she sees but it’s nothing that she needs nothing that will ever get her through. She keeps falling but she never hits the ground. Always screaming but she never makes a sound. Throwing dishes at the walls, throwing wishes at the stars. She sends curses in the night, thinks she can control when darkness gives way to light. She puts on her pretty clothes, stands in front of the mirror, hopes that no one ever wants to get near her Black magic beautiful, she’s the end of everything.

Razorblades 03:44
Trash bags, bloody rags, flowers made of steel. Empty cans, Superman’s asleep at the wheel. Get back, hit the rack, get yourself right. Hit the locks, hide the clocks, this could take all night Well, I taught myself to swallow razorblades, and I drank the river and called it lemonade. I can keep my mind tied up for days. All I know is that I’d like to hide away with a girl like you. Break down, look around, listen for the words. Maniacs by the tracks, chase away the birds. Unclear in the atmosphere, cloudy is the wine. Full speed, feel the need, running out of time.

Spark of madness, touched by sadness, I don’t know what to do with her. She sleeps with the lights on, listens to the same song over and over and over and over again. She is broken, she is dirty, she is gone. Gone. Hides her feelings in a hole in the ceiling, laughs a little every time she cries. When she reaches, she’s torn to pieces, Says it’s okay, it don’t hurt at all. They taught her how to hate, taught her how to blame herself. She used to stand on the porch in the morning and wave goodbye. She had a heart. She’ll stand beside you with her hands inside you, says, “You can do anything to me.” In the morning, leaves without warning, screaming at herself all down the street.

Skin on Skin 04:16
Every night I bury myself underneath the memory of hyacinths and roses. Every night I reach across the room but no one’s there for me, walls are closing in. It’s getting hard to breathe, falling through the atmosphere. Skin on skin, let me in. I want to know that wonderful is possible. Skin on skin, let me in. I’ll never ask again. Kerosene, all these fires just end in confusion, burning down. Love and laughter turning to illusion, spinning all around. It’s getting hard to breathe, crashing through the atmosphere. Won’t you show me what it’s like to be beautiful, just one night? Won’t you show me what it’s like to be beautiful, just one time? It’s getting hard to breathe, falling through the atmosphere.

Don’t bother knocking ‘cuz there’s nobody home. Don’t bother ringing that bell. Don’t bother asking why I’m all alone, window shopping in hell. Don’t want to talk about it, not gonna talk about it, don’t want to talk about it anymore. I am just climbing these trees. I am denying my needs. I am, I am sputtering Teach me again. Reach me, plug me in. Teach me, before I disappear. I have been dealing with a loss of power. I am a fire without a flame. Keeps getting darker by the hour, every feeling is just the same. Don’t want to think about it, not gonna think about it, don’t want to think about it anymore Please get me off of this ledge, push me over the edge. I am, I am stuttering Supercharged angels have gone to sleep, no more electric air. Don’t have to worry ‘bout the company I keep because there’s nobody there. Don’t want to live without it, not gonna live without it, don’t want to live without it anymore. Still trying to lose my mind, had enough of the borderline. I am, I am in need.

Waste You 03:27
I am invisible, I just can’t be seen. I am invisible, but I see everything. I am lost and found. I have been misplaced. Strap on these shoes, take a look at this face. I don’t need to know your mind, I’m not gonna break you. But I won’t leave a thing behind, because I’m not gonna waste you. No, I’m not gonna waste you. These eyes have cried. These hands have wiped the floor. This pride has died a thousand times before. Not gonna be pretty, not gonna take my time. It’s getting late for fate. No time, just no time.

Undone 03:27
Waves against the shore, eyes through your door. They just will not let you be. Wall against your back, braced for attack. Open your eyes ‘cuz it’s time to see. I’ve got tears you can cry, got a space you can lie, I’ve got room for you to run. I’ve got time I can give, you’ve got a life you have to live, I’ve got a place where you can come undone. Everyone knows nothing here grows. You are dancing in quicksand. So wave to the crowd but don’t be too loud. You are contagious, now ain’t life grand? Snakes in the grass, hands on your ass, you are the pinnacle of fashion. Pick up your shoes, crawl back to your room, you are a chemical reaction.

I don’t care how you spend your time, where you slept last night, what gets you high. I’m lying here, wrestling with all my fears, picturing things that are not here, steering clear. I’m not missing you, I’m just getting through. Pain will follow you everywhere you go. Memories, they’re not coming back. The house along the railroad tracks, broken doors and broken backs. You took it all, blew it all to pieces, put it out of reach, practice what you preach. Seems as though it never happened. Perhaps it all was imagined. Morning girl to afternoon, then gone in the night, just gone in the night. Now I stand, covered in the ashes, tormented by the passage of time. Looking around, getting up and falling down. Circus has come to town. It’s not leaving soon.
